Vascular Imaging

Infinity Primary Care’s Diagnostic Testing Center offers carotid artery and extremity venous vascular studies. This testing is noninvasive and can provide physicians with vital information to assist with your diagnosis.

Infinity Primary Care’s vascular services are accredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). Infinity’s advanced technology and registered technologists provide high quality images to assist in the diagnosis of various vascular conditions.

Cardiologists, who are experts in interpreting vascular studies, will analyze your test and send a signed report to your primary care physician or the physician who referred you for the exam within 24-48 hours. Your physician will discuss the results with you.

Infinity Primary Care’s Diagnostic Testing Center offers the following vascular tests:

  • Carotid duplex study: This is an ultrasound of the carotid arteries in the neck used to determine whether stenosis and plaque is present. Blood flow is sampled at designated locations.
  • Venous duplex study: This is an ultrasound of your major leg or arm veins to determine whether blockage or thrombus (clot) is present. Slight compressions are done on the areas being imaged and the blood flow is sampled at designated locations.

Preparing for a vascular study
