Biography
Dr. Erin Diviney Chun received her undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College. During that time she enjoyed volunteering at the Kalamazoo Free Health Clinic. She also studied abroad in Quito, Ecuador learning about the ecology and sociology of their unique geography.
After working with the InterCare Community Health Network promoting healthy behaviors in a teach-the-teacher style among some of Southwestern Michigan's Migrant Farmworkers, she returned home to attend Wayne State University School of Medicine.
Dr. Diviney Chun has always been interested in the way that health is intertwined in the fabric of the whole family, and for that reason continued her training in Family Medicine. She went on to serve as Chief Resident, participating in many committees to work to improve both patient care and resident education.
After completing her residency at Oakwood Annapolis Hospital, she spent an additional year in training to expand her expertise in the area of Geriatric Medicine. While at the University of Michigan she was able to gain experience working at the University Hospital, the AAVA Hospital, in multiple clinics, at the Glacier Hills Care and Rehabilitation Center and at the Towsley Village in the Chelsea Retirement Community.
Dr. Diviney Chun has a strong interest in preventative health care for patients of all ages. She is also interested in the care of conditions that tend to affect older patients, such as osteoporosis and dementia
